Hey all,
As I mentioned on my previous post, I’m trying to register my own domain name and setting up hosting account. Here are the steps I’ve taken.
First, I registered a domain at GoDaddy. You can check for your desire domain name by searching it. I’m pretty lucky to get my own name as my domain name (I think it’s rare name anyway). 
I bought only 1 domain which ends with .com, and it cost me only $9.99/year. Well, there’ll be a ICANN fee for $0.20 so the total check out is $10.19 Not expensive too right?
After that, it’ll be setting up a hosting account for your website. I choose HostGator because I heard a lot of good feedback on customer services and the price is reasonable too. I ordered a Baby Package as I can have unlimited domains set up for just $7.95/month. I received an email with link to my control panel after in just 10 minutes!
So the last thing is to transfer my blog to my new domain name. Opps…now I’m facing problem not able to set up my site! I’ll try to get it fix as soon as possible and update the progress here later.
